| Status | What the Committee did | What you must do |
|---|---|---|
| Fresh | You held no seat after Round 1; a seat has now been allotted. | Download the allotment order (till 18 Sept, 3 PM), pay fees, report to the college with originals by 18 Sept, 5 PM. |
| Upgraded | A higher choice opened up; your Round 1 seat is released automatically. | Collect certificates from the old college, join the new one by 18 Sept, 5 PM. Skipping this loses both seats. |
| Retained | You asked for upgradation but none of your higher choices had a vacancy. | Nothing — you continue in the Round 1 college. You may still resign via the portal before the stipulated date. |
| Not found | Your number is not in either 92.5% list. | Check the 7.5% portal if you are a government-school candidate; otherwise wait for the Round 3 vacancy list. |
Government-college MBBS under Government Quota is a retention round: 4,077 rows, of which only 265 are fresh allotments — the rest are Round 1 holders who were upgraded within the government list or kept their seat. Self-financing MBBS under Management Quota is the opposite: 468 of 1,149 rows are first-time allottees, which is where most Round 3 vacancy will also come from once non-joiners are counted.

Taken from the fresh and upgraded rows only (retained seats were won in Round 1, so they do not describe Round 2 demand). The lowest NEET mark and the deepest general rank that received a seat are the practical floor for Round 3 choice filling. Special-category rows (PwD, sports, ex-servicemen wards) sit at the bottom of the government-college buckets and pull the floor well below the open-competition line, so read the lowest mark with the community and category you belong to in mind.

No. The Selection Committee's lists are indexed by the TN counselling application number (26UG followed by six digits), not the NEET roll number. It is printed on your application PDF and in the portal dashboard.
Candidates who registered for both quotas are considered for Government Quota first; if no GQ choice was reachable at your rank, your Management Quota choices were processed. The status shown here is the seat you are actually allotted to.
Not yet. The 7.5% reservation pool has its own allotment list and portal; this page covers the 92.5% Government Quota list and the Management / NRI / Minority list of 15.09.2026.
A few rows in the Committee's list (special-category and PwD allotments) are printed with the status Retained but no Round 1 column. They hold the seat shown under Allotted college; treat the joining rules as for a retained seat.
No. Asking for upgradation is binding: once a higher choice is allotted, the Round 1 seat is released. Not joining the new college means losing both seats, so read the status line carefully before 18 September.
Yes, through the Committee's resignation portal (Notification No. 25). Resign before the stipulated date and the seat is shown as vacant in the next round; resigning later attracts the forfeiture rules in the prospectus.
They are computed from every fresh and upgraded row of the two official lists — the lowest NEET mark and deepest general rank that received a seat in each quota-course bucket. They are indicative for Round 3; community-wise cut-offs differ.
